Červený KláštorČervený Kláštor
In 1820 Emperor Francis I gave the Lechnica monastery to the Greek Catholic bishopric of Prešov, a diocese only two years old at the time. Greek Catholics worship in the Byzantine rite — Eastern liturgy, married parish priests — while recognising the pope, and their people in this part of the kingdom were mostly Rusyn villagers in the eastern mountains. The gift did not put monks back in the cells; it put the buildings on the books of a poor young diocese with far more urgent things to pay for. That is a large part of why the place stayed half-ruined for so long.Roku 1820 daroval cisár František I. lechnický kláštor gréckokatolíckemu biskupstvu v Prešove — diecéze, ktorá vtedy jestvovala sotva dva roky. Gréckokatolíci slávia byzantský obrad — východnú liturgiu, ženatých farárov — a zároveň uznávajú pápeža; ich veriacimi boli v tejto časti kráľovstva najmä rusínski dedinčania z východných hôr.
