The Velvet Revolution of November 1989 ended the communist state, and the Greek Catholic Church could once more organise openly and recover what had been taken from it in 1950. Money for repairs began to reach buildings that had gone forty years without any. In 1991 the Soviet Union dissolved, and the frontier a few kilometres east of the village stopped being the edge of the Soviet bloc and became the border of Ukraine. The village had still not moved; once again the country on the other side of the hill had changed its name.Nežná revolúcia v novembri 1989 ukončila komunistický štát a gréckokatolícka cirkev sa mohla znovu otvorene organizovať a získať späť to, čo jej roku 1950 vzali. Do stavieb, ktoré štyridsať rokov nevideli ani korunu, začali prichádzať peniaze na opravy.
