Kráľovský ChlmecKráľovský Chlmec
In 1918 the town found itself in Czechoslovakia, confirmed by the Treaty of Trianon in 1920, and its county was cut in half by a border drawn along the Tisa and the Bodrog. Nothing about the town changed except the state: the same people, the same language, new officials and a new capital nine hundred kilometres away. The republic's land reform broke up the great estates across the south, which was felt here as a national question as much as a social one. Kráľovský Chlmec kept its role as the centre of the Bodrogköz, but the market it served now stopped at a frontier.V roku 1918 sa mestečko ocitlo v Československu, čo potvrdila Trianonská zmluva v roku 1920, a jeho stolicu preťala nadvakrát hranica vedená po Tise a Bodrogu.
