The hill was used again in the Great Moravian period, when a Slav settlement stood on Molpír. This was the century of Nitra, of Prince Pribina's church and of Cyril and Methodius — the first state on this territory, and the first time anything here was written down in a Slavic language. Nobody had to explain to these people why the hill was worth holding; the reason had not changed in fifteen hundred years. The route through the mountains was still the route, and whoever sat above it controlled who used it.Kopec ožil znova vo veľkomoravskom období, keď na Molpíre stálo slovanské sídlisko.
