Under the wartime Slovak State the Dubnica works became an important supplier to the German army, and at its wartime peak it employed 4,669 people. That made it a target. On 7 July 1944 the United States Fifteenth Air Force bombed the plant. Being useful to Germany is the whole reason Dubnica was busy, well paid and dangerous all at the same time.Za vojnového slovenského štátu sa dubnická zbrojovka stala dôležitým dodávateľom nemeckej armády a v čase najväčšej výroby v nej pracovalo 4 669 ľudí. Tým sa stala aj cieľom. Siedmeho júla 1944 závod bombardovala americká 15. letecká armáda. Že bola Dubnica pre Nemecko užitočná, je celý dôvod, prečo bola naraz rušná, dobre platená aj nebezpečná.
