Andy Warhol died in New York on 22 February 1987, having never seen Miková. In 1991 his brother John and the Andy Warhol Foundation helped to found a museum of his work at Medzilaborce, fifteen kilometres over the hills, and a replica of the family house was later built in its open-air section. The prints, the photographs and the objects that came out of Miková are in that museum; the village itself has no house to go into and no collection.
