On 28 October 1888 the railway through the Vlára pass was opened between Uherský Brod and Trenčianska Teplá, with a station at Nemšová. At that moment it was one of only three rail links between the Kingdom of Hungary and Moravia; the other two ran at Bratislava and at Žilina. A route people had walked and carted through for centuries suddenly moved goods by the wagonload, and a village at the mouth of the valley became a place with a station on it. A branch line to Lednické Rovne later left the route here as well.28. októbra 1888 otvorili železnicu cez Vlársky priesmyk v úseku Uherský Brod – Trenčianska Teplá a Nemšová dostala stanicu. V tej chvíli to bolo jedno z troch železničných prepojení Uhorska s Moravou; ďalšie dve viedli cez Bratislavu a cez Žilinu. Cesta, po ktorej ľudia stáročia chodili a vozili, zrazu prepravovala tovar po vagónoch a z dediny pri ústí doliny sa stalo miesto so stanicou. Neskôr sa tu od trate odpojila aj odbočka do Lednických Rovní.
