Kostoľany pod TribečomKostoľany pod Tribečom
The village had two water mills on its stream, the ordinary machinery of a farming settlement. In 1818 something far less ordinary appeared: a parquet factory, which the village's own history describes as the first machine-driven parquet works in the Kingdom of Hungary. Oak from the Tribeč, water for power and a landlord willing to invest are the whole explanation. Whether or not it really was the first, it shows how a wooded estate village could be pulled into industry decades before any railway reached it.Na potoku mala obec dva vodné mlyny, obvyklé zariadenie roľníckej dediny.
