Plešivec appears in writing for the first time in 1243, as Plesuck, in a document of King Béla IV concerning the Ákos kindred — the clan whose descendants became the Bebeks. The grant came on the usual post-Mongol terms: hold the land, settle it, fortify it. Nowhere in Gemer is the point about 1241 clearer than here.
