Since 1991 Galanda's birth house has held a permanent exhibition of his work, and in July 1996 Turčianske Teplice became a district seat for the third time in its history, after 1880–1923 and 1949–60. The spa was privatised and rebuilt for two kinds of customer at once: patients sent for weeks of prescribed treatment, and families who come for an afternoon in the thermal pools. A restoration in 2017 joined the Blue Bath to the hotel next to it, and it is marketed today under a newer name, the Golden Bath. The older name is still the one that means something. What has not changed is the water: it comes out of the ground hot, it never needs heating, and it is the only reason there is a town here at all.Od roku 1991 je v Galandovom rodnom dome stála expozícia jeho diela a v júli 1996 sa Turčianske Teplice stali okresným mestom už tretí raz v dejinách — po rokoch 1880 – 1923 a 1949 – 1960. Kúpele sa sprivatizovali a prestavali naraz pre dva druhy hostí: pre pacientov, ktorých sem lekár posiela na týždne liečby, a pre rodiny, čo si prídu na popoludnie zaplávať do termálu. Prestavba v roku 2017 pripojila Modrý kúpeľ k susednému hotelu a dnes sa predáva pod novším menom Zlatý kúpeľ. Staršie meno však stále znamená viac. Nezmenilo sa jediné: voda vyteká zo zeme horúca, nikdy ju netreba prihrievať, a je jediným dôvodom, prečo tu mesto vôbec je.
