In 1850 the railway from Bratislava towards Pest was opened through the village — one of the first main lines in the monarchy, built in the years right after the revolution of 1848–49 had been put down, when the empire wanted troops and freight able to move fast. For a farming village on the plain a station is a bigger event than it sounds. From that year the harvest could reach a city market in hours instead of days, and anything heavy could be brought in — which is what made the next stop possible at all.Roku 1850 otvorili cez obec železnicu z Bratislavy smerom na Pešť — jednu z prvých hlavných tratí v monarchii, stavanú hneď po tom, ako bola revolúcia rokov 1848 – 1849 potlačená, keď cisárstvo chcelo vedieť rýchlo presúvať vojsko aj náklad. Pre poľnohospodársku obec na rovine je stanica väčšia udalosť, než to znie. Úroda sa odvtedy dostala na mestský trh za hodiny namiesto dní a čokoľvek ťažké sa dalo doviezť — a to je vlastne dôvod, prečo bola ďalšia zastávka vôbec možná.
