The youngest group of prehistoric finds from Žehra is Slavic pottery of the ninth and tenth centuries, picked up on the banks of the Žehra brook. Those are the centuries of Great Moravia and of the confusion that followed its collapse. It is worth saying no more than the pots actually say: somebody was living and cooking here at the time. No fort, church or estate centre of that period has been found at Žehra, and honest history stops where the evidence does.Najmladšiu skupinu pravekých nálezov zo Žehry tvorí slovanská keramika z 9. a 10. storočia, pozbieraná na brehoch potoka Žehra. Sú to storočia Veľkej Moravy a zmätku, ktorý prišiel po jej rozpade. Oplatí sa povedať presne toľko, koľko hovoria samotné hrnce: niekto tu vtedy žil a varil. Nijaké hradisko, kostol ani panské sídlo z toho obdobia sa v Žehre nenašlo — a poctivé dejiny sa končia tam, kde sa končia doklady.
