Žehra's fields have produced finds from almost every prehistoric period. From the New Stone Age there is pottery of the Linear Pottery culture, the Želiezovce group and the Bükk mountain culture, together with a stone axe and a wedge; from the middle and late Bronze Age, sherds of the Piliny culture; then fragments of Púchov culture pottery and material from the migration period. That is a very long stretch of farming in one small basin. Keep in mind what these finds are, though: potsherds turned up in ploughed ground, not excavated villages — they prove people were here, not how they lived.Polia okolo Žehry vydali nálezy takmer zo všetkých pravekých období. Z mladšej doby kamennej je to keramika kultúry s lineárnou keramikou, želiezovskej skupiny a bukovohorskej kultúry, k tomu kamenná sekera a klin; zo strednej a mladšej doby bronzovej črepy pilinskej kultúry; potom úlomky keramiky púchovskej skupiny a materiál z čias sťahovania národov. To je veľmi dlhý úsek roľníčenia v jednej malej kotline. Treba však vedieť, čo tieto nálezy sú: črepy vyorané z poľa, nie odkryté dediny — dokazujú, že tu ľudia boli, nie ako žili.
