Častá had about 2,076 inhabitants in 2004 and about 2,383 in 2022: it is growing again, mostly with people who work in Bratislava and sleep here. The two clocks the village runs on still have not converged — the castle keeps museum hours and a season, while the village keeps a shop, a church and cellars that are private property and will not open to a passing caller. Wine is still the reason the slope is terraced, but it is sold now through the wine route's open-cellar weekends rather than to an estate. And the best thing Častá offers a visitor is the hardest thing to see from the castle car park: the marked paths that carry on over the ridge towards Vysoká, into the Little Carpathians proper.V roku 2004 mala Častá asi 2 076 obyvateľov, v roku 2022 asi 2 383: rastie znova, najmä o ľudí, ktorí pracujú v Bratislave a spia tu. Dvoje hodín, podľa ktorých obec žije, sa dodnes nezosúladili – hrad má otváracie hodiny a sezónu, dedina obchod, kostol a pivnice, ktoré sú súkromné a okoloidúcemu sa neotvoria. Víno je stále dôvod, prečo je svah terasovaný, len sa dnes predáva cez víkendy otvorených pivníc na vínnej ceste, nie panstvu. A to najlepšie, čo Častá návštevníkovi ponúka, je zároveň najhoršie vidieť z hradného parkoviska: značené chodníky, ktoré pokračujú cez hrebeň k Vysokej, do vnútra Malých Karpát.
