The change began with a decree of 23 January 1894 that officially recognised the Dudince water as healing and put a protection zone around the springs on the Gestenec hill. Building followed: in 1900 Hugo Oberndorff opened the first open bath at the eastern springs, and in 1907 Filip Gutmann built one at the western springs. From 1909 the mineral water was bottled and sold, which went on until 1924. Some accounts date the first open-air bath and drinking hall to 1909 rather than 1900, so the exact order of these first buildings is not certain.Zmena sa začala výnosom z 23. januára 1894, ktorý úradne uznal dudinskú vodu za liečivú a vyhlásil ochranné pásmo okolo prameňov na vŕšku Gestenec.
