Pekara finished in 1995, and on 26 November that year the work was blessed by Cardinal Ján Chryzostom Korec. It is 8.5 metres long, 2.5 metres deep and 3 metres high, with about three hundred figures in it, roughly half of them driven by a mechanism: woodcutters saw, a smith strikes, carts and flocks move through the scenery. What makes it unusual is not the size but the setting. This is not a nativity of Bethlehem, it is a nativity of Slovakia — the holy family among Slovak buildings and Slovak trades, with Bratislava Castle, Spiš Castle and the peak of Kriváň standing among the carved hills. It is shown in timed sittings with the mechanism running, in the House of Divine Mercy beside the church.Pekara dielo dokončil v roku 1995 a 26. novembra toho roku ho posvätil kardinál Ján Chryzostom Korec. Betlehem je 8,5 metra dlhý, 2,5 metra hlboký a 3 metre vysoký, je v ňom asi tristo postáv a približne polovica z nich sa hýbe: drevorubači pília, kováč buší do nákovy, vozy a stáda sa pohybujú krajinou. Nezvyčajná nie je veľkosť, ale to, kam je príbeh zasadený. Nie je to betlehem z Betlehema, ale betlehem Slovenska — svätá rodina medzi slovenskými stavbami a remeslami a medzi vyrezanými kopcami stojí Bratislavský hrad, Spišský hrad aj Kriváň. Ukazuje sa v presne určených vstupoch so spustenou mechanikou, v Dome Božieho milosrdenstva vedľa kostola.
