In 1468 King Matthias Corvinus gave Bős the right to hold a weekly market. That single sentence in a charter is worth more than it sounds. A market meant that farmers from the surrounding hamlets came here to sell, that the lord could tax the trade, and that the village became the place where the southern half of the island did its business. Market rights are how ordinary villages turned into small towns in medieval Hungary, and this is the moment Bős started up that ladder.V roku 1468 udelil kráľ Matej Korvín Bőšu právo konať týždenný trh. Trh znamenal, že sem prichádzali predávať gazdovia z okolitých usadlostí, že pán mohol obchod zdaniť a že sa z dediny stalo miesto, kde vybavovala svoje veci celá južná polovica ostrova. Trhové právo bolo v stredovekom Uhorsku spôsobom, akým sa z obyčajných dedín stávali mestečká — a toto je chvíľa, keď Bőš vykročil po tom rebríku.
