Organised bathing grew here through the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries: pools cut and lined at the springs, lodging for guests, and a fixed season in the warm months. In this period a bath was as much a social occasion as a treatment, and the nobility of the surrounding counties came for both. The springs stayed exactly where they had always been; what changed was that somebody was now selling access to them.V sedemnástom a osemnástom storočí sa tu rozvinulo organizované kúpanie: pri prameňoch vytesali a vymurovali bazény, pribudlo ubytovanie pre hostí a ustálila sa sezóna v teplých mesiacoch. Kúpeľ bol vtedy rovnako spoločenskou udalosťou ako liečbou a šľachta okolitých stolíc chodila pre oboje. Pramene zostali presne tam, kde vždy boli; zmenilo sa len to, že prístup k nim už niekto predával.
