Slovakia has more than a hundred castles and the great majority of them are ruins. This one is roofed, furnished, heated and in daily use: gallery rooms upstairs, an exhibition on the history of Zvolen run by the Forestry and Wood Museum on the top floor, services and concerts in the chapel, weddings in the knights' hall, a café in the courtyard. The reason is simple and slightly unromantic. A building that people keep using is a building whose roof keeps getting mended.Slovensko má vyše sto hradov a prevažná väčšina z nich sú zrúcaniny. Tento má strechu, zariadenie, kúrenie a každodennú prevádzku: galerijné sály na poschodí, expozíciu Lesníckeho a drevárskeho múzea o dejinách Zvolena celkom hore, bohoslužby a koncerty v kaplnke, sobáše v rytierskej sieni, kaviareň na nádvorí. Dôvod je jednoduchý a trochu neromantický. Budove, ktorú ľudia stále používajú, sa strecha stále opravuje.
