Slovenská Ľupča CastleĽupčiansky hrad
During the Slovak National Uprising of 1944 the insurgent authorities used the castle as a detention camp for people they accused of a fascist past. Its commander was Jozef Štaudinger, himself an escapee from the regime's own camp at Ilava, and what happened at Ľupča under him is still disputed by historians; the detainees were released as the Uprising collapsed. Slovenská Ľupča itself was taken by Soviet and Romanian troops on 23 March 1945.Počas Slovenského národného povstania v roku 1944 zriadili povstalecké orgány na hrade zaisťovací tábor pre ľudí, ktorým vyčítali fašistickú minulosť. Samotnú Slovenskú Ľupču obsadili sovietske a rumunské jednotky 23. marca 1945.
