In 1820 a parish church of the Elevation of the Holy Cross was built down in the village itself, and ordinary Sunday life moved off the hill for good. The hermitage buildings did not stand empty: the hermits' house went on working as a school through the nineteenth century and later became a forester's lodge. What the rotunda kept is what it still has — one pilgrimage a year, and the walk up through the beeches.V roku 1820 postavili priamo v dedine farský kostol Povýšenia svätého Kríža a bežný nedeľný život sa z kopca natrvalo presťahoval dolu. Pustovnícke stavby nezostali prázdne: dom pustovníkov slúžil počas 19. storočia ako škola a neskôr ako horáreň. Rotunde ostalo to, čo má dodnes – jedna púť do roka a cesta hore bučinou.
