In 1469 King Matthias Corvinus took the castle from the Losonci, who had backed the wrong side in the plots against him, and granted it to Michal Országh. It passed on again to the Nádasdy family, and was then simply seized by force by Žigmund Balaša. With that seizure the Balassa family arrive at Divín, and they stay for two hundred years — the family whose good name and bad name the castle still carries.Roku 1469 odobral kráľ Matej Korvín hrad Lošonciovcom, ktorí sa v sprisahaniach proti nemu postavili na nesprávnu stranu, a daroval ho Michalovi Orságovi. Hrad prešiel ďalej na Nádašdyovcov a napokon ho násilím jednoducho obsadil Žigmund Balaša. Týmto zásahom prichádzajú na Divín Balašovci a zostanú dvesto rokov — rod, ktorého dobré aj zlé meno hrad nesie dodnes.
