1357 – 1364 Rusyn settlers on the Makovica estateRusínski osadníci na panstve Makovica

This valley belonged to Makovica, the huge estate run from the castle above Zborov, and in the fourteenth century its owners set about filling it with people. In 1357 the estate's records name a new kind of settler for the first time — Valachi or Rutheni, the herding families we now call Rusyns, moving west along the arc of the Carpathians. From 1364 the estate belonged to the Cudar family, who pushed the settlement further north and east until Makovica was one of the largest lordships in the whole country. Ladomirová is one of the villages that came out of that push.Táto dolina patrila k Makovici, obrovskému panstvu riadenému z hradu nad Zborovom, a jeho majitelia ju v 14. storočí začali cielene zaľudňovať. V roku 1357 pramene panstva prvý raz menujú nový typ osadníkov — Valachi alebo Rutheni, teda pastierske rodiny, ktoré dnes voláme Rusíni a ktoré sa sťahovali po oblúku Karpát na západ. Od roku 1364 patrilo panstvo Cudarovcom a tí osídľovanie tlačili ďalej na sever a východ, až bola Makovica jedným z najväčších dominií v krajine. Ladomirová je jedna z dedín, ktoré z toho vznikli.
