The Coburg estates in Slovakia were confiscated in 1945 and a hundred and twenty years of the family's connection with this place ended. The house could have been emptied and left to rot, which is what happened to a great many manor houses in these years; instead it was given a job, and the job was the one it already had. From 1962 it housed the museum of forestry, timber and hunting — and a building with a use gets its roof repaired, which is why the interiors are still here. The village fared less well under a state that disliked saints: from 1960 it was officially called simply Antol, with the Svätý — the Saint — dropped from the name.Coburgovské panstvá na Slovensku v roku 1945 skonfiškovali a stodvadsať rokov spojenia rodu s týmto miestom sa skončilo. Dom mohli vypratať a nechať schátrať, ako sa v týchto rokoch stalo veľkému množstvu kaštieľov; namiesto toho dostal prácu — a bola to práca, ktorú už aj tak robil. Od roku 1962 v ňom sídlilo Lesnícke, drevárske a poľovnícke múzeum. Budove, ktorá sa na niečo používa, sa opraví strecha, a práve preto tu interiéry ešte sú. Obec dopadla horšie: štát nemal rád svätých, a tak sa od roku 1960 volala úradne jednoducho Antol, bez „Svätý“ v mene.
