The immediate neighbourhood is not a tourist quarter, and pretending otherwise would be silly. What it does have is genuinely interesting: the country's national agricultural showground on one side, two university campuses on the other, and the old town within a walk of well under half an hour.Najbližšie okolie nie je turistická štvrť a tváriť sa opačne by bolo hlúpe. The agricultural university's campus is one of the more striking pieces of late modernist architecture in Slovakia, and it is a five-minute walk from the car park. Everything the city is actually known for is on the other bank: the castle rock and its cathedral, the upper town, the pedestrian streets and the theatre square.
