In 2007 the ruined manor was bought by a hotel company and restored, and in 2011 the Apponyi library was reinstalled in its own neoclassical wing, where it is now a branch of the Slovak National Library and can be visited. Not everything came back: the collection had been thinned by sales after 1935 and by four decades of storage elsewhere. Even so, hardly any aristocratic library in Central Europe survived the twentieth century as a collection at all, and this one did. The castle on the ridge above is still a free, unstaffed ruin — one family, two buildings, two completely different fates.V roku 2007 zrúcaný kaštieľ kúpila hotelová spoločnosť a obnovila ho; v roku 2011 sa Aponiovská knižnica vrátila do svojho klasicistického krídla, kde je dnes pracoviskom Slovenskej národnej knižnice a dá sa navštíviť. Nevrátilo sa všetko: zbierku preriedili predaje po roku 1935 aj štyri desaťročia uskladnenia inde. Aj tak platí, že takmer žiadna šľachtická knižnica v strednej Európe neprežila 20. storočie ako celok — a táto áno. Hrad na hrebeni nad dedinou ostáva voľne prístupnou zrúcaninou bez správcu: jeden rod, dve stavby a dva úplne odlišné osudy.
