West of the old town the ground rises to a plateau, and on that plateau stands Terasa — the largest and most populous of the city's districts, a whole town of its own laid out along the wide axis of Trieda SNP. Košice built its city hall out here. In 2004 it got its shopping gallery too: Galéria, on Toryská just off the boulevard, a centre whose customers mostly arrive on foot or one stop down the tram line.Západne od starého mesta sa terén dvíha na plošinu a na tejto plošine stojí Terasa — najväčšia a najľudnatejšia mestská časť Košíc, celé samostatné mesto rozložené pozdĺž širokej osi Triedy SNP. Košice si sem postavili magistrát. V roku 2004 tu pribudla aj nákupná galéria: Galéria na Toryskej hneď pri bulvári, centrum, ktorého zákazníci prichádzajú väčšinou pešo alebo jednu zastávku električkou.
