What has never stopped being worth the trip is the hill itself. The road from Rožňava swings round and the castle appears above the village exactly as it does on every poster of Slovakia: tiers of wall, the round bastions, the tower, the whole thing balanced on a cone of forest. Andrássyovské zbierky boli po požiari vo veľkej miere vyvezené a konzervujú sa mimo hradu, takže to, čo sa do miestností vráti — a kedy — je súčasťou toho istého dlhého projektu.
