The Andrássys did not confine themselves to the hill. Within a few kilometres of the castle they left a mausoleum, a picture gallery and one of the best-preserved country houses in Slovakia — all of them independent of the castle’s reconstruction, and together easily worth a day.Andrássyovci sa neobmedzili len na kopec. Dionýz Andrássy built this small, sumptuous Art Nouveau tomb in the village below for his wife Františka, who came from outside the aristocracy and whom the family crypt would not receive.
