The path starts in the village of Divín and climbs steadily through mixed woodland; it is marked, it is not long, and most people are at the walls in about half an hour. What arrives first is the outer wall, running along the contour with trees growing out of it — this is a demolished castle, not a decayed one, and the difference shows. Whole faces were brought down at once, leaving clean vertical breaks rather than the slow crumble you see elsewhere.Chodník sa začína v obci Divín a rovnomerne stúpa zmiešaným lesom; je značený, nie je dlhý a väčšina ľudí je pri múroch asi za pol hodinu. Inside, the upper ward is a compact space with the stumps of towers at the corners, cellar mouths, and enough standing wall to give a sense of enclosure. Recent consolidation work has stabilised the most fragile stretches, and there are places where new pointing is obvious against the old rubble core. Come out onto the southern side and the ground drops away to the basin, with the Ružiná reservoir lying flat and bright in the middle of it.Vnútri je horné nádvorie kompaktný priestor s pahýľmi veží v nárožiach, ústiami pivníc a dosť stojacimi múrmi na to, aby ste cítili uzavretosť.
