The castle is not an empty shell. It is a working museum, with the region’s collections in its rooms and temporary exhibitions alongside the permanent ones. Parts of the interior are shown on guided routes — check the current arrangements before you plan a tight schedule.Zámok nie je prázdna škrupina. An English-style park in the fork of the two rivers, laid out to the taste of the nineteenth century: old broadleaf trees, open lawn and paths along the water. The ConfluenceSútok
Walk out to the point where the two rivers meet and the castle explains itself. The Kysuca brings the water of its own valley down from the north, the Váh carries the drainage of the Fatra away to the west, and the road that had to cross them both is the only reason there is a castle here at all.Prejdite k miestu, kde sa obe rieky stretávajú, a zámok sa vysvetlí sám.
