Mária Henrieta Choteková died in the manor on 13 February 1946, aged eighty-three and impoverished, cared for at the end by nuns of the Congregation of the Daughters of Divine Love; she is buried in the family mausoleum in the village cemetery. The estate passed to the state, the ground where the rosarium had been was turned over to ordinary agriculture, and in the 1950s the fields around the village went into a farming cooperative, as they did all over the country. The garden did not survive any of that. Panstvo prešlo na štát, pozemky bývalého rozária premenili na bežnú poľnohospodársku pôdu a v päťdesiatych rokoch skončili polia okolo obce v jednotnom roľníckom družstve, tak ako všade v krajine. Záhrada z toho nevyšla živá. Dom áno — na rozdiel od zbierky ruží sa budove dá dať nová úloha.
