Articles 25 and 26 of the Sopron diet allowed the Lutherans of eleven counties two churches each and laid down how they might be built: on the edge of the village and off the town's ground, entirely of wood and without metal parts, on a stone footing no more than a foot high, with no tower — and so no bells on the church itself — with the door not opening onto the street, and finished within one year. In Zvolen county the two permitted places were Hronsek and Ostrá Lúka. The plot allotted here was wet ground by the river, so the builders drove oak piles and set the church on them, because oak kept permanently under water does not rot; they raised it in 1725 and 1726, in effect a single building season, and put up a free-standing wooden belfry beside it since the church was allowed no tower. Thirty-eight articular churches went up in place of the 888 that had been taken away, and only five wooden ones survive. Namiesto 888 zhabaných kostolov vzniklo artikulárnych tridsaťosem a drevených z nich stojí päť. Keď tolerančný patent Jozefa II. v roku 1781 obmedzenia zrušil, väčšina zborov si postavila niečo vyššie, s vežou a zvonmi; Hronsek si nechal drevený kostol — a preto je sem dnes vôbec za čím chodiť.
