This is a building with no ambitions beyond working, and there is something restful about that. It is a single storey — the whole centre on one flat level, a straight internal mall with shopfronts on both sides, a supermarket at one end, and a wide surface car park across the front. No escalators, no stacked galleries, no atrium void to lose your bearings in. You can see the far end from the door.Táto budova nemá iné ambície než fungovať — a je na tom čosi upokojujúce. The refurbishment is what keeps it from feeling its age. Centres of the 2001 generation across Central Europe have mostly aged badly — low ceilings, dim light, tired surfaces — and the difference between the ones that were reinvested in and the ones that were not is stark. This one was reinvested in, and the practical result is that it does not read as a survivor. It reads as a neighbourhood centre, which is a different and more durable thing than a shopping destination.Práve rekonštrukcia je dôvodom, prečo na budove nevidno vek.
