Prešov's own sights line up along one easy walk: end to end on Hlavná, into the co-cathedral and the churches of the other two traditions, then out to Solivar on the southern edge. Solivar
On the southern edge of town, the tall shingled hoist house and the timber halls of the historic salt works form a famous national cultural monument — salt was hoisted and boiled here for centuries.Na južnom okraji mesta tvorí vysoký šindľový gápeľ a drevené haly historických soľných baní slávnu národnú kultúrnu pamiatku — soľ sa tu ťažila a varila po stáročia.

Šariš Castle spreads along its ridge above Veľký Šariš, and Kapušany crowns its cone just outside the city — two walk-up ruins that bracket Prešov's horizon.Šarišský hrad sa tiahne po hrebeni nad Veľkým Šarišom a Kapušiansky hrad korunuje svoj kužeľ kúsok za mestom — dve pešo prístupné zrúcaniny, ktoré rámujú prešovský obzor.
Farther out wait three classics: Spiš Castle above Spišské Podhradie — the vast walled hill a short drive west; Bardejov and the wooden churches in the hills of upper Šariš; and the High Tatras on the far horizon on a clear day.
