In 1655 the Swedish armies swept into Poland in the invasion Polish history remembers as the Deluge. Kraków fell, Warsaw fell, and the royal treasury on Wawel hill — the crowns, sceptres and orbs of the Polish kings — was suddenly a few days’ march from an enemy that had already stripped half the country.V roku 1655 sa do Poľska prevalili švédske vojská pri vpáde, ktorý si poľské dejiny pamätajú ako potopu. The regalia were taken out of the country. They were carried south over the mountains into the pawned Spiš — legally Hungarian ground, but administered from Ľubovňa by a Polish starosta and therefore, in every way that mattered, safe Polish keeping. The treasure stayed in the castle for roughly six years, until the war had turned and it could go home to Wawel.Klenoty vyviezli z krajiny.
