Agriculture in BratislavaPoľnohospodárstvo v meste Bratislava

Bratislava farms less land than any other Slovak city, yet it governs the whole sector: the agriculture ministry, the farm payment agency, the food-safety authority and the national chamber all sit here, and so do the Slovak head offices of the world's big seed and crop-protection firms. The city's own fields survive out in Vajnory, Podunajské Biskupice, Prievoz and Devín, still worked by cooperatives.Bratislava obrába menej pôdy než ktorékoľvek iné slovenské mesto, riadi však celý sektor: sídli tu ministerstvo pôdohospodárstva, platobná agentúra, potravinová správa aj celoštátna komora — a rovnako slovenské centrály svetových osivárskych a agrochemických firiem. Vlastné polia mesta prežívajú vo Vajnoroch, Podunajských Biskupiciach, v Prievoze a pod Devínom a dodnes ich obhospodarujú družstvá.
