Eurovea

Bratislava spent most of the twentieth century with its back to its own river. Eurovea — opened along Pribinova in 2010 and extended again in 2023 — is the development that turned the city round. The shopping galleria is the commercial engine, but the thing that actually changed Bratislava is the wide public promenade in front of it: lawns, broad steps down to the water, café terraces, and the modern hall of the Slovak National Theatre standing alongside. Above it all rises Eurovea Tower, at 168 metres the tallest building in Slovakia.Bratislava strávila väčšinu dvadsiateho storočia chrbtom k vlastnej rieke. Eurovea — otvorená na Pribinovej v roku 2010 a v roku 2023 znovu rozšírená — je stavbou, ktorá mesto otočila. Nákupná galéria je obchodným motorom, no to, čo Bratislavu naozaj zmenilo, je široká verejná promenáda pred ňou: trávniky, mohutné schody k vode, kaviarenské terasy a hneď vedľa moderná budova Slovenského národného divadla. Nad tým všetkým sa dvíha Eurovea Tower, so 168 metrami najvyššia budova na Slovensku.
