Agriculture in ŽilinaPoľnohospodárstvo v meste Žilina

Farming here is upland farming: the Váh and Rajec valleys, the meadows under the Malá Fatra, and the cooperatives that still work them from Bánová and Dolný Hričov out to Dlhé Pole. Žilina itself is the seat of the national dairy research institute and of the regional chamber of agriculture and food.Poľnohospodárstvo je tu horské: Považie a Rajecká dolina, lúky pod Malou Fatrou a družstvá, ktoré ich stále obrábajú — od Bánovej cez Dolný Hričov až po Dlhé Pole. V samotnej Žiline sídli Výskumný ústav mliekárenský aj regionálna poľnohospodárska a potravinárska komora.
