The historic heart of the city, arcaded on all sides. The houses originally stood in a ragged line; the facades were straightened and the arcades — the žilinské laubne — built in 1521, after a fire destroyed much of the town. Two old wells survive on the square.Historické srdce mesta, zo všetkých strán obkolesené podlubím.
