Rádio Anténa Rock is a commercial station built around a single genre. The genre brings its own furniture. Album tracks and live recordings get played where a chart format would run only the single, and concerts matter, because a rock listener buys tickets. Slovak rock is considerably older than Slovak commercial radio. When the airwaves opened after 1989 the audience for this music already existed; the station that played it all day did not.
