Slovakia sits on a bed of geothermal water, and nowhere wears it more elegantly than Piešťany. The same waters feed a livelier tradition further north. In the Liptov basin, the mineral-reddened lagoons of Bešeňová steam under the open sky a short drive from Tatralandia near Liptovský Mikuláš, one of Central Europe's largest aquaparks — while at AquaCity Poprad you float in geothermally heated pools with the peaks of the High Tatras filling the horizon.Tie isté vody sýtia o čosi živšiu tradíciu ďalej na severe.
